Beer Tasting Alumni Event
Welcome everyone to what promises to be a very fun and active 2017! Our first Alumni event of the year is ready to set sail this February, and you won't want to miss this one!
What could be a better way to spend a dark winter's night than at a cozy gathering of the JTCVC Alumni while imbibing some fine ales on offer from Winnipeg's own Torque Brewing Co.?
Here is your chance to spend a few hours reconnecting with fellow former cadets and officers as we share stories over a few delicious pints at our Beer Tasting Event. The laughs will surely be flowing as freely as the lager, and you can be a part of it all while supporting our fundraising efforts. Come out to Torque Brewing and partake in what is sure to be the first of many fun-filled Alumni evenings as we build up to the 100th anniversary in 2020. Space for this first Alumni event is limited (only 45 guests per night, 90 tickets in total), so we strongly suggest that you act fast to secure your place. This is the start of something grand, so don't get caught in the doldrums! Round up your former shipmates and toast the glorious memories that we are so fortunate to share by being a part of JTCVC.
Tickets are $25.00, open to JTCVC Alumni aged 18 and over, and are available through the canteen at HMCS Chippawa Thursday nights between 1930 - 2130 on a first come, first serve basis. Your ticket provides you with 4 samples, a tour of the brewery, and a chance at one of our door prizes.
The event is taking place on 2 separate evenings at Torque Brewing Co. on 830 King Edward Street - the "Starboard Watch" is gathering on Friday, February 17th at 7PM until 9PM, and the "Port Watch" will convene on Friday, February 24th from 7PM - 9PM. Be sure to specify which evening you would like tickets for when you make your purchase, and we will do our best to accommodate you.
